The Do-Over

The Do-Over

Hey! Welcome back.

A couple blog posts ago, our group planned on re-filming due to unprepared circumstances. AND WE'RE BACK! Here is a little run down of everything we did.

To ensure we did not make the same mistakes again, we met up beforehand during our study hall classes to confirm who was bringing what. Additionally, although we had a storyboard, we envisioned the story in our heads and all brainstormed what the mise en scenes would consist of.

Unfortunately, there were some mishaps that occurred on the day of filming. Tiffany was supposed to arrive at my house at around 8:00 AM. But guess what...I slept in! Sleeping in caused a whole debacle with Tiffany since she could not arrive at any other times unless someone picked her up! Other than that, the others arrived just on time, at around 2:00 PM. Considering our setting was going to take place at night, we planned an earlier time to account for bloopers and lost time. We planned things such as what music we wanted (we ultimately picked "cannon and variation"). After that, we realized we were missing an important prop. CHICKEN. So...we all took a little trip to Winn Dixie and bought a rotisserie chicken.

Starting at around 5:00 with filming, we finished around 8:00. Feeling very productive, it was a really fun process and we all had fun time. Once we finished up with filming we all celebrated by eating the left overs of our film process. While waiting for all the parents to pick up our actors...we downloaded all the clips to my computer to start the editing process. Tatyana is a pro at Premiere Pro, so she helped me navigate through it.

This concluded our re-filming, and I am very glad on how it turned out! It was definitely better than the first day.
