Editing Part 2
Welcome back viewers! As I previously stated we have been working on our editing stages. Now, I will show you what work we have achieved.
My group has assigned me to the role of main editor. I have assembled all of the clips together and adjusted them to my liking, however, I will share the rough draft to my teammates and we will all work together perfect it. Zadie, Tatyana, and Tiffany have been really big helpers in the process, without them I would be completely lost on what to do. I had the idea of making the headings for our names in our own handwriting. However, from past experience I knew that I had the worst handwriting while Tiffany's was absolutely beautiful. In short, she created the cute headings and also animated them. She used ProCreate, and exported it as a transparent GIF. Furthermore, during study hall, we all brainstorm together and navigate the software together. Tatyana and Zadie are the best teachers when it comes to navigating editing software, so it was really helpful to have them around. Overall, this has averaged out to around 7 hours.
There was one aspect about our editing that bothered me though, in one of my posts I discussed how the audio was a bit stuffy. The dialogue we filmed originally consisted of unwanted noise in the background...let's just blame my pet fishes. So, we thought about doing a voice-over, however, we were afraid it might sound unnatural. Our good friend lent us her microphones, but lavaliers are known to interfere with outside sources. In short, the quality was not up to our par. Our next idea was to improve the quality of the original clip. We did not know how, but we were sure that there was a way.
Tune in next time because we will definitely nail it!
