Hey people, today I wanted to share my camera shots and angles experience.
Follow up
I created this shot by following the subject walking, trying to achieve perspective upon the character. It is to help the audience align with the characters perspective, instead of the point of view shot.
Over The Shoulder Shot
My experience creating this consisted of positioning the camera aligned with the shoulder, while directly facing the other main subject making sure both of them are in frame. I was trying to achieve a more intimate interaction between the two characters, capturing the interaction in the same frame.
Point of View Shot
I created this shot by using someone to act as the "eyes", while facing the camera to the main subject. This was used to evoke a feeling of understanding the character's perspective.
High Angle Shot
I created this shot by stepping onto a higher leveled surface while facing the camera down at the subject running. I was trying to achieve a sense of vulnerability as the subject seems they are looking out for something.
Low Angle Shot
I created this shot by reversing the roles with the high angle shot, instead of the camera facing down, it faced up to the subject. I was trying to achieve a feeling of powerfulness, since the subject appears to be at a larger scale then the camera, making the viewer feel smaller.

ReplyDeleteHi Christy! I also enjoyed your "low angle" shot. It made your subject seemed powerful and superior to your audience. Although your subject seemed superior, it made me feel joyous to watch as I felt seen when the subject broke the fourth wall and waved at the camera.

ReplyDeleteHello Christy! I also enjoyed your High Angle Shot that is used to make it seem as if your subject is inferior and makes them look vulnerable. In this case, I can feel the look of fear and vulnerability from the shot.
